Normal operations will resume at all three of George Washington University's campuses on Wednesday, August 24. There have been no reports of injuries and only minor, non-structural damage to a few university buildings, which will not affect operations. The university granted early release to employees Tuesday afternoon. All employees should report to work as scheduled on Wednesday, August 24. Classes are scheduled to begin Monday, August 29. Shuttles to the Mt. Vernon Campus and Virginia Campus are running, but expect significant travel delays.
All GW Co-curricular Programs that are currently traveling with the university have been accounted for.

Public Transportation
Metro is running slowly while tracks are inspected.
Metrobus is operational, expect some delays due to traffic signal outages.
MARC train service has resumed at reduced speeds.

Amtrak delayed. Union Station now open.
Engineers have verified that all major transportation tunnels in DC are free from damage.
